For the first time, HUC members will choose Consortium’s leaders through an election. The Election in July 2025 will select HUC President, two Vice Presidents, an Executive Committee Member representing Early/Mid-Career Cohorts and an Executive Committee Member representing Indigenous/Tribal Communities. The Calls for Nominations for these vacant seats were opened from 2 to 23 June 2025. The Secretariat received 14 nominations – 5 among whom women – for various seats from China, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Germany and Norway. The Executive Committee reviewed the nominations and recommended the following candidates for each of the categories.
Only HUC institutional and individual members with active membership can cast their votes, by virtual or other means. If you are eligible to cast your vote or responsible to cast the institutional vote of your university, but have not received the voting link, contact huc.secretariat@gmail.com
