She holds Honorary positions in multiple reputed institutes; Associate, Walker Institute, UK; Guest Faculty member, International Centre for Environment Audit and Sustainable Development (iCED); Advisory Committee, Global Network for Sustainable Development; and Executive Council, International Mountain Tourism Alliance.
Previously, Dr. Jamir served as an Assistant Professor at the TERI School of Advanced Studies(New Delhi, India), from 2012 to 2022. She has also contributed as the Co-Lead for the Thematic Working Group on Mountain Agriculture, Himalayan University Consortium (2017-2024); Doctoral Researcher, Stockholm Environment Institute in York, UK (2007-2011); Associate, Environment Department, University of York, UK (2011-2014), Core Faculty, Global Centre for Food Systems Innovation under USAID Project (2013–2015); Manager, South Asia Regional Hub, UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (2013–2017).
In addition to her research, Dr. Jamir has organized numerous training workshops centered on climate change, food systems, and sustainable development for researchers, students, policymakers, and various stakeholders in India and beyond. These initiatives have garnered support from the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India (ITEC), the Department of Personnel Training, the Government of India, the United Nations Environment Programme, and the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, among others.
