“Inspired by the vision of the HUC, I have already started working along its mission and initiated connections between various researchers from the HKH and the Alps.”

“[…] will emphasize collaborative citizen projects and community service, [….] my current transition from extractive research practices to the role of facilitator, rather than as all-knowing ambassador providing opportunities for people to speak for themselves.”

“Dr. Walter’s distinguished research, publication record, service, and public engagement render her a highly qualified candidate who will serve the HUC with intellectual energy, commitment, and effectiveness. […] Walter works diligently to build Himalayan research and knowledge communities that are interdisciplinary, international, and rigorous.” – Endorsement by Prof. Dr. Anne Rademacher, Professor & Chair, Sustainable Urban Environments, TUM
