A proud Oraon Tribe woman from India who has keen interest in interdisciplinary research focusing on the environment, indigenous communities, gender, culture, education, mountain ecosystems, and disaster management; Principal Investigator and Co-PI of multiple projects funded by national and international agencies; mobilized resources to collaborate with scholars in the Asia Pacific; supervised a state project in Jharkhand entitled Benchmark Survey and Developing Tribal Development Index; co-led a study on the climate change vulnerability of tribal communities.
