25+ years of research on biogeochemistry of plant nutrients in agro-ecosystems, soil fertility assessment and plant nutrients management under dryland farming, soil productivity management through organic and inorganic amendments, soil salinity assessment, amelioration and saline agriculture, water quality evaluation for agriculture and domestic use, and plant nutrition management in hydroponics; Principal Investigator in 5 research projects funded by Pakistan Science Foundation, Higher Education Commission, DAAD Germany, and Alexander von Humboldt Foundation; supervised 45 MSc. and 9 PhD.
