HUC Academy 2018

The 2018 HUC Academy brought together early-career researchers and faculty members from member institutions to explore interdisciplinary approaches to sustainable mountain development. Hosted in Nepal, the academy provided a unique platform for participants to:

• Engage with global experts on climate resilience, ecosystem services, and mountain livelihoods
• Participate in hands-on training and field visits to understand real-world challenges
• Network with peers and build research collaborations

The academy led to new academic partnerships, research proposals, and a strengthened commitment to advancing mountain-specific knowledge.
