Prof. Bajracharya is the former Dean of the Institute of Engineering (IOE), Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He is a Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University. He got his master’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1991 from Odessa Institute of Low-Temperature Technology and Power Engineering, Odessa. He went to the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi for specialization in Renewable Energy Systems in 1995. He got his Ph.D. in Hydropower Technology in 2007 from Tribhuvan University. His field of specialization is energy systems, especially renewable energy technology. His areas of interest include energy, climate change, engineering education, and project management. He has served as the Chief Editor of the Journal of the Institute of Engineering, ISSN 1810-3383. Professor Bajracharya is the President of the Nepal Engineers' Association.
